Reese Witherspoon is remembering her buddy and collaborator, Jean-Marc Vallée.
The director, who labored with Witherspoon on Wild and Large Little Lies, died on Christmas Day in 2021. He was 58.
In honor of the heartbreaking anniversary, Witherspoon shared an image of her and Vallée filming 2014’s Wild collectively. “I miss you my buddy,” Witherspoon—who earned an Oscar nomination for her position within the film—captioned the Instagram Story picture. “RIP Jean-Marc Vallée.”
Vallée’s rep beforehand confirmed to E! Information that the filmmaker handed away “all of the sudden and unexpectedly” at his cabin outdoors Quebec Metropolis, Canada.
“My coronary heart is damaged,” Witherspoon tweeted in Dec. 2021 after information of his demise first emerged. “My buddy. I really like you.”
In the meantime, fellow Large Little Lies star Shailene Woodley wrote on her Instagram Story, “I’m in shock. Full and utter shock. My f–king god demise is the worst. However I assume in some way I do know you’ll flip it right into a grand journey…one for the books. One I can wait to learn & to look at when my time comes.”
