Momentum Photos has landed the North American rights to queer horror film Swallowed from writer-director Carter Smith.
Swallowed is about in a distant township on the border between Maine and Canada and, in line with the undertaking’s description, “is a narrative about friendship and the extremes we’re prepared to endure to guard those we love. Dripping with blood and pus, its queer physique horror informed within the grindhouse custom – with all of the bare flesh and stunning violations of a traditional midnight film.”
Momentum Photos is concentrating on a Feb. 14, 2023 launch.
Cooper Koch, Jena Malone, Mark Patton, and newcomer Jose Colon star within the film that was produced by Smith, Noah Lang, Helio Campos and Ross O’Connor. Josh Senior and Evan Buxbaum govt produced.
Swallowed has made the rounds on the pageant circuit, together with horror fests Fantasia, Unbelievable, and Screamfest. It gained the Grand Jury prize for greatest characteristic at NewFest, the New York-based LGBTQ+ movie and media pageant.
