Noel Gallagher’s Excessive Flying Birds have readied their fourth studio album, Council Skies. The mission arrives June 2nd by way of Bitter Mash Data, whereas new single “Straightforward Now” is accessible to stream now.

Gallagher recorded Council Skies at his Lone Star Sound Recording Studios in London, co-producing the album with longtime collaborator Paul “Strangeboy” Stacey. In a press release, the Oasis guitarist defined that the LP attracts on the starvation for fulfillment that one actually solely feels of their youth.

“It’s going again to the start. Daydreaming, trying up on the sky and questioning about what life may very well be … that’s as true to me now because it was within the early ‘90s,” Gallagher stated. “Once I was rising up in poverty and unemployment, music took me out of that. Prime of the Pops on TV reworked your Thursday evening into this fantasy world, and that’s what I believe music needs to be. I would like my music to be elevating and remodeling indirectly.”

Along with common digital, CD, and LP codecs, Council Skies might be launched on 3xLP and 2xCD deluxe limited-edition codecs that characteristic remixes by Robert Smith and Pet Store Boys. Pre-orders are ongoing.

Directed by Colin Solal, the “Straightforward Now” video stars Home of the Dragon star Milly Alcock and includes a cameo from Gallagher himself. It follows the primary Council Skies single “Fairly Boy,” which options guitar by Johnny Marr.
