Kino Lorber has landed North American rights to Annie Ernaux’s autobiographical movie “The Tremendous 8 Years” (“Les années Tremendous-8”). A press launch introduced that the archival documentary composed of silent Tremendous 8 footage of her household from 1972 to 1981 wailing be launched on the Lincoln Heart December 16, six days after Ernaux is awarded with the 2022 Nobel Prize for Literature.

Directed by Ernaux and her son, David Ernaux-Briot, “The Tremendous 8 Years” options voiceover narration from the celebrated writer and highlights “the internal lives of ladies alongside societal and cultural modifications in France from the Sixties onwards,” per its synopsis.
