Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley, grandson of Bob Marley and son of Stephen Marley, has died on the age of 31.
Based on TMZ, Marley handed away from asthma-related situations, though his actual reason for dying was not disclosed as of press time.
A local of Jamaica who relocated to Miami on the age of 11, Marley adopted in his household’s footsteps by pursuing his personal profession in music. He launched a pair of EPs — 2014’s Snug and 2021’s Everlasting — in addition to the standalone single “Burn It Down” with Yohan Marley in 2016. He additionally appeared on Morgan Heritage’s 2015 Grammy Award-winning album, Strictly Roots, in addition to on his father Stephen’s 2016 album, Revelation Half 2: The Fruit of Life.
