Gothard resigned from the IBLP board of administrators in 2014 amid allegations in opposition to him that declare he molested and sexually harassed girls within the group, per NBC Information. On the time, Gothard addressed the allegations in a since-deleted assertion on his web site: “My actions of holding of palms, hugs, and touching of toes or hair with younger girls crossed the boundaries of discretion and had been improper.”
