After screening on the Sundance Movie Competition, the Ira Sachs movie Passages has landed at MUBI within the US, UK, Eire and Latin America.
The synopsis for the movie reads: “After finishing his newest undertaking, filmmaker Tomas (Franz Rogowski) impulsively begins a heated love affair with a younger college instructor, Agathe (Adèle Exarchopoulos). For Tomas, the novelty of being with a girl is an thrilling expertise that he’s desirous to discover regardless of his marriage to Martin (Ben Whishaw). However when Martin begins his personal affair, the mercurial Tomas refocuses his consideration on his husband.”
Saïd Ben Saïd (Elle, Bacarau) and Michel Merkt (Toni Erdmann) produced the film, which is sure for the Berlin Movie Competition within the Panorama part.
The truestarz’s Sundance evaluation of the movie calls it a “smart and unusually wounding work from a beloved indie auteur.”
Mubi is planning a 2023 theatrical launch for the movie within the acquired territories, adopted by a launch on the distributor’s streaming service.
