Emma D’Arcy Reveals Their Hopes for HOTD Season 2

Emma D’Arcy is able to see Westeros burn.

Whereas talking with Zuri Corridor and Justin Sylvester on the crimson carpet on the 2023 Golden Globes, the Home of the Dragon star shared their hope for Rhaenyra Targaryen when the HBO drama returns for season two. (See each star on the 2023 Golden Globes right here.)

Although D’Arcy admitted that they’ll share “little or no” concerning the subsequent installment, which was renewed by HBO in August 2022, they’re anticipating a fierier Rhaenyra following the season one finale. “I believe season one Rhaenyra spends lots of time mediating her Targaryen fireplace,” D’Arcy mentioned. “My hope is that in season two the brakes are off a bit.”

Hey, the Home Targaryen motto is “Hearth and Blood,” in spite of everything.

To not point out, when viewers final noticed Rhaenyra, she had simply suffered two main losses: the miscarriage of her unborn child and the dying of Prince Lucerys (Elliot Grihault) by dragon. Oh, and this all went down after her half-brother Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) usurped her as ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.
