Veronica Tejera is talking out after being accused of endangering her kids’s welfare.

Veronica—the spouse of late ABC Information producer Dax Tejera—was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a kid amid the passing of her husband, NYPD Lieutenant John Grimpel confirmed to E! Information Jan. 4. 

Dax, who produced This Week With George Stephanopoulos, died on Dec. 23 at age 37 as a result of a coronary heart assault, based on a memo from community president Kim Godwin on the time.

That very same night, Veronica left the couple’s 2-year-old and 5-month-old daughters in a resort room, she stated in an announcement to Leisure Tonight revealed Jan. 3. 

An NYPD spokesperson advised E! Information that officers responded to a 911 name at 11 p.m. reporting “unattended kids” who have been left alone, including, “The mom was positioned in custody and charged.”

Now, Veronica is sharing her aspect of what occurred that night time. “When Dax collapsed on December twenty third, I accompanied him in an ambulance to the hospital,” she stated in her assertion to ET. “I requested each an in depth good friend and my dad and mom to hurry to my kids’s resort room to take care of them as I monitored them by digital camera. The resort wouldn’t enable my good friend in and as an alternative referred to as the NYPD.”
